My Wellness Coaching Programs are different from traditional medicine in that they focus on prevention, not disease. I seek to help you overcome illness and silence diseases through positive lifestyle changes and behaviors such as exercise, nutrition and sleep (just to name a few).
Preventive Medicine is different in that illness is prevented before the onset of disease, unlike traditional medicine. Preventive medicine often includes body recomposition, performance enhancement, disease management and behavioral lifestyle changes.
My health coaching, fitness, & nutrition coaching focuses on your personal profile and who you are as a person to create personalized instruction supported by me and my team.
In addition, I offer nutritional coaching services to assist with behavior modification and education. My goal is for you to know so much about how nutrition, fitness, and healthy living impacts your personal situation that you never need to hire another wellness coach again. I believe that if people are properly educated and form healthy habits, they should be able to live an informed, healthy life that ultimately takes the guesswork out of some of the most important and misinformed subjects...nutrition, health outcomes, and stress.
HOW
it works
When you first begin your coaching program, you will complete a wellness intake form that helps me assess where you are in your “present day life”. I use a holistic approach that involves open sharing.
I then create a custom made-program based on your particular needs and wishes, sometimes including a range of treatments and sessions with ancillary wellness partners. My objective is to co-create a trusting connection and gently guide you through a personalized wellness program, while providing you with useful tools to live a balanced, objective and healthful life and be in harmony with yourself and the world.
Your wellness consultation & check-ins are similar to a doctor’s visits except they take place virtually. During your initial consultation, Dr. Martin will review your wellness goals & health history to make appropriate program recommendations. Your prescribed wellness plan will be available in the client portal and using her proprietary nutrition and fitness databases.
I pair preventive medicine with telehealth to increase the distribution of health education, services, recommendations and prescriptions using electronic information and telecommunication technologies.
In this way, I am able to reach many more people than otherwise possible. I do not use telehealth as an intent to replace traditional medical treatment for individuals who currently have a health condition or illness. Please seek treatment from your primary care provider (PCP). These services are a supplement and are coordinated with your PCP.

Five years ago,
I felt overweight, tired and
overwhelmed due to life's circumstances.
What makes me different? I have a story, just like you. I am a single mom, a busy professional, a woman who has experienced hormonal changes, has had two surgeries, experienced extreme head trauma, went through a divorce, suffered the loss of loved ones, and have had my own personal health story. Through these experiences, I recognize the power of Christ when it comes to breaking strongholds and behavior change and use this as a framework for my coaching practice.
